ELAINE YI LI
Elaine joined Robinson + McGuinness Family Law in 2017. She graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the ACT Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in June 2015.
Prior to joining Robinson + McGuinness, Elaine worked in the community legal sector practising predominately in civil and family law. She has gained experience in complex parenting and child protection matters, involving drug and alcohol, mental health and family violence issues. Elaine has practised in domestic violence and personal protection litigation at the ACT Magistrates Court and regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in family law matters.
Elaine is passionate about helping people navigate through their separation in a conciliatory and child-focused manner. She takes a holistic and reasonable approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Elaine is a member of the Women Lawyers' Association of the ACT, the ACT Law Society, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and is a member of the Liquor Advisory Board representing young people in the ACT. Elaine volunteers at the ACT Law Society Legal Advice Bureau, and the Women’s Legal Centre (ACT and region).
